Savior (EC Activity Check)

     Poplarkit looked around, suddenly frightened. He and another kit, Poppykit, had broken off from the rest of the kits and queens, and now they had no idea where they were. The two young kits looked at each other. "Well...how are we going to find the others? I don't think they went this way..." Poplarkit muttered. Poppykit shook her head. "I don't know..."
     Suddenly, Ghostlight was running up to them. "What are you two doing here?!" The warrior snapped. Poppykit crouched down in fear. Most of the kits avoided Ghostlight. She was weird, and she usually didn't talk to anybody. There were rumors among that she had snapped when her mate and kits had died, so the queens kept their kits away from her. Because of this, most kits were afraid of Ghostlight.
     Poplarkit stood tall, unafraid. He had only joined the clan recently, and didn't know about the rumors. "We were exploring." He meowed. Ghostlight eyed him. "This isn't the time to be exploring." She muttered. "You should-"
     She was cut off as a bear suddenly crashed through the underbrush and spotted them. The enormous creature reared up on it's hind legs and growled, it's small eyes looking at the three cats. The two kittens yowled in fright and crouched down, trembling. The bear dropped onto four paws and lumbered toward them.
     Just as it was about to strike, Ghostlight leaped in front of the two kits, protecting them from the blow. The bear's claws scraped against her back, leaving deep marks. Ghostlight gritted her teeth and squeezed her eyes shut. "...R-run..." She hissed to the kits.
     Poppykit and Poplarkit took one look at her, then at the bear, and darted off, not even glancing back at the warrior who had saved their lives...their savior.

     Ghostlight turned to face the huge beast, feeling as though her back were on fire. She barely had time to think before it swatted at her like a fly, making her fly sideways and hit a tree. She shakily got to her paws and fled, leading the bear in the opposite direction that her clan had gone...
